Hotto opened in March 2016 as a group home where individuals with disabilities can live independently in a communal setting.
There are also satellite housing units where residents live in apartments to practice living independently.
The monthly fee is ¥45,000 (covering rent, utilities, and daily necessities), with meals charged at actual cost (¥200 for breakfast, ¥200 for lunch, ¥400 for dinner). Additionally, a ¥10,000 municipal rent subsidy is available. Therefore, if meal costs total ¥18,000, the net monthly expense would be ¥53,000.
